The terrible twos have set in with our once so peaceful and great sleeper! She thinks she is grown and does NOT want to be babied at all. Sisi has no problem keeping up either; yet, she has chosen to speak in Chinese instead of english and we cannot understnad her at all :)

Kassidy is the princess for sure...though no weakling here. She is a fireball and tries to be the "mom" around the house. She loves Ballet and wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up :)

End of summer fun?

The summer is almost over--hooraahhh...Camp Mcmillan has come to a closing in 3 weeks and at least 2 of the kids can go entertain their teachers for a few hours every morning...
We went to the beach earlier this summer- no oil!
We swam a lot- Jake learned to swim without floaties!
We visited Pop's Farm and swam in creek
We saw a few movies and ate LOTS of ice cream :)
Jonathan and I are BLESSED to have Sarah staying with us for 2 months and therefore we get a date night once a week!!!!!
We just put our house on the market with Ellen Smith and hopefully it will sell soon and we can go build out in DevineyLand!

With 3 kids (teins who will be 4 in September and a 2 year old) I feel like my sole purpose is to referee and to be their comedic entertainment- like ME: stop fighting or I will spank you; THEM: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Jake and Kassidy get along as long as Sienna is not around. Sienna is great when by herself, but LORD help me when I have all three of them. They CAN NOT get along...really? Not even for 10 minutes! This to shall pass, right? But will I be sane when it does?

Well, my babies start school on Monday. I cannot believe they will be 3 in September. I also can't believe that my baby sister is getting married in a month! I was looking at some old pics, and it hit me hard how fast time flies by. One second you are crying because your parents are making you sit on this oversized rabbits lap in this horrible frufru dress, the next you are making your kids sit on that same stupid rabbit's lap. I mean where does the time go? Why can't I live in and enjoy the moment that God has given while IN that moment? Why do I have to only appreciate it when I am remembering?

Well, we started off, or maybe I should say I STARTED off this morning at 7 am opening my eyes and looking at the clock and praying "please God, please let my kids sleep for 1 more hour!!!!" The, the next thing I knew, I woke up to Sienna crying at 7:52 a.m...so I guess God did answer my prayer.
We went to a friends house to "swim" which probably is always a disaster considering Sisi is still too young to get in the little pool with 5 2-4 year olds, but she is DETERMINED to be up in the middle of everything. It is always fun though. Then it was lunch and then off to the house to HOPEFULLY take naps. Well, God was blessing me again by having ALL 3 kids sleep at the SAME time! It was a miracle to say the least. While they slept, I got to eat a chicken breast and watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off which was great as always...I mean could this day get any better? Of course it can! When Jonathan got home, we made homemade ice cream!!!! This was a great day....now on to Tuesday??????

It is so nice to see rain! I only wish it was now fall- 60 degrees, football season, kids are in school---
Jake, Kassidy & Sienna are watching Sleeping Beauty for the millionth time. Well, Sisi is just aggrivating them. I really would like to get out and about, but with 3 kids and rain...it is probably not the smartest thing to do for my sanity & other people's sanity around us.
We just got back from the beach. I love the beach, but I don't think I could live there. The twins LOVED the water and crabbin' and running around naked. Sisi took a few days to get use to the sand, but by the 4th day, she was all about it. too bad she has no clue how to swim. She so wanted to get in the water like the twins.
Adrienne's wedding is fast approaching. I cannot believe my baby sister is getting married. FRREEEEEDOOOOMMM!!!! I guess my parents will be screaming come September 20! I have so much to do until then. Showers, a million family & friends birthdays, the twin's 3rd birthday, Ad's wedding, my 30th birthday. Gracious...it is going to be busy, but oh so much fun!

Well, well, well...life at my house is far from boring! The twins are ALWAYS on the run. Sienna isn't too far begind them either. She is crawling all over the place- which has its pros and cons. It's nice to see her entertain herself, but it's nerve racking to watch her hurt herself too. Kassidy is determined to carry her all over the house. She is such the little mommy! Jake is just all boy- 110%. He just sliced his hand opened with a tape measurer- who knew that could be a serious weapon. He now has 5 ...well 4...stitches. It hasn't slown him down at all!!!!

The twins are doing great in their 2 year old kindergarten. They know the pledge of Alligience, 3 different prayers, can count to 20- and i am sure higher, but they never have time at home! Jake is doing great with potty training; though, Kassidy has backed off! I'm trying to not get too stressed about it though. I mean, they will eventually get it! With 3 small kids, potty training is hard!

well, the twins will turn 2 on Monday! I cannot believe it. They are growing so fast. Sienna is 16 weeks old today. She is really making progress. She hates her carseat and wants to be looked at at ALL times!!! She is working on rolling over, but does a clock like scoot instead.

For the twins bday, we are going to Deep South Cheer- I think it will be a blast. We got Jake a train track/table and Kassidy a kitchen to put in her room. Tia & Pop got them Radio Flyer Spring Horses. Mawmaw & Pawpaw go them little tricycles. It should be fun times.

Jonathan & I will take them to the circus tomorrow!!!! Sienna is staying wih Tia though.

Sienna

Our newest little angel is Sienna Whitney, who was born on May 14th. She has a very different look, yet I can see the twins in her. She has Jake's little chin and Kassidy's eyes. Though she has vey dark hair and olive skin with 1 dimple on her left cheek (just like Pop -my dad). She had her 7 week check up last week and she weighed 11 lbs 11 oz and was 23 inches long.

She LOVES for you to hold her up so she can "stand" up on your tummy. She is really starting to smile and make noises at me when we are playing. It is so sweet. These moments go by so fast.ust watching her makes me see how fast the twins are growing! I want to freeze the moments sometime; though, other times, I am wishing them away! It is just like the song "Your Going to Miss This" by Trace Adkins! That song makes me cry EVERYTIME!

It is so nice to just have 1 baby to nurse and change diapers- I can just enjoy her and not be torn. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change having the twins for anything in the worl, but it is a nice change!

Kassidy Belle

Kassidy Belle is my angel!!! She might be very tiny, but she is very strong. She can definately hold her own with her brother. She has such an extensive vocabulary even at 21 months! She can count to 10; although, she only wants to count to six for some reason. She loves being a big sister. In fact, she is too much help most of the time! She will be the first gold medalist in skipping!! Her run is more of a skip, or at least one leg wants to skip! She is very determined (she got a double dose of that). For instance, bedtime is always a fight, but if you tell her we need to put her babydoll to sleep, she is more likely to go along with it. She is so loving to everyone. I love it when she says "MommYYY" and asks "Wheres DaddYYY?".

Kassidy LOVES flowers, anything that I am drinking, baLLOOns, shoes, and swinging!

Marriage

I have been married for 4 1/2 years to my soulmate, Jonathan. I am not saying that life together is always rosey. In fact, we are both very strong willed and determined individuals, which in turn causes a lot of "agree to disagree" arguments! Since having kids, there is not much alone time- we have to really make an effort to be together, but as any married couple with kids would agree, it is a must! It is so easy to get lost in your children and to ignore the marriage on a daily basis. As the female, it is so easy for me to notice not having affection, but men usually don't (except in the bedroom-ha). I see us sitting in rocking chairs after 50 years of marriage looking out at our grandchildren playing in the backyard- I know that sounds cheesy, but we are really that couple.

The one strength in our marriage is also our biggest weakness: independence! We both are so strong willed that we butt heads more than we flirt and agree. Jonathan loves to get me "worked up" which I usually get mad and we fight, but that's ok. That same attitude is what makes us work so hard at "us."

Jake

Jake is our little man! He was born first ( 1 minute before his sister), and really had the hardest entry (they had to use the vaccum to get him out). He is all boy. All he ever talks about is "ball", "plane", "dog", "horse", and "outside!" I completely understand the phrase "momma's boy" now. He is so precious and fun to be around. His energy level is undescribable- I have a difficult time keeping up with him!

He will be 22 months on July 8th! I cannot believe how fast he has grown- time really does fly by when you have kids!

Summer 2008

This summer, much has changed! Not only do we have 2 VERY vivacious 22 month old twins running circles around us, we added another member to our family! Sienna Whitney was born on May 14th! Talk about a fast growing family! It wasn't even 2 years ago that is was just Jonathan and I; now Jake, Kassidy Belle & Sienna have enriched our lives.

So far this summer, we have been to my parent's lake house twice and to Jonathan's parent's place in Kosciusko a few times. We are also planning on going to the beach next week- yea! I love the beach; although, it is less relaxing now with kids!
